DV Connect Quilt

Valerie from DV Connect approached the Piecemakers group and asked us to make a memorial quilt for women who have died as a result of domestic violence.

This quilt will then be taken to Canberra in 2010 to be hung in a display of memorial quilts - one from each state.

Although the time frame is short and the group is in recess over the Christmas break, an enthusiastic band of workers set about to create, cut out and make the quilt following the specifications given to us by DV Connect.

So far there have been two working bees - one to cut out the quilt and a progress sewing day where the design was tweaked a little.

I'm pleased to say it is coming along VERY nicely.
