Material Girls Program for the remainder of 2010
July:
Bag display – bring along any handmade bags you have for a show and tell discussion to give us some inspiration for the Piecemakers’ Competition which will be held at this year’s Conference in October. The requirements for the competition are “any bag using black and white and one other colour” so there is plenty of scope for bags to suit all purposes.
August:
Charity Challenge
This year’s activity will be making wheelchair bags. Instructions and material will be available. We hope it will be all hands on deck to help us make as many wheelchair bags as possible on the day. As many sewing machines as possible are needed as well as cutters and pinners and ironers.
September:
Christmas Project
Trish has two projects to display. Anyone else who has a project to share please bring it along. If you choose to do one of these projects for Christmas you will be able to find out what you need to bring along to next month’s Craft Day where you can rely on quality help and advice to get it done.
October:
Christmas Project
Instructions and help to get you on your way with a Christmas project.
* need to discuss Christmas Break-up for our group – suggestion - Picnic in the Park , everyone bring a plate to share
Any suggestions on this topic would be appreciated. Think about it we have plenty of time to decide what, when and where!
November:
