CHRISTMAS BREAKUP 2013

A cheerful crowd gathered at Bremmer TAFE for our 2013 Christmas Breakup.



The tables were beautifully prepared and the room was soon buzzing with chatter and laughter.



Everyone was ready for a fun day
 

There were lots of guests from other branches too.
So lovely to have them along to share our Christmas cheer.

Then on to the feast !!

and what a feast it was !!!



 

Then came the entertainment...

 

Followed by a surprise special guest !!



who seemed to spend a lot of time hugging people  !

 

 who seemed very willing to hug him back !!!

I guess they were just giving him their Christmas lists ???

FINAL CRAFT DAY FOR 2013

Fingers were soon busy as everyone settled in for the last Craft Day of the year. 

Of course there is always a lot of catching up to do too !


 

Some were still working on last month's quilt as you go project

While others were engrossed in this month's project....

Here is the finished object - a little portable ironing pad that folds up into a little bag.

Isn't it cute ?  

And so handy to take along to workshops and have beside your machine to press down those seams.

 

Wendy was ploughing along with lovely goods for the Christmas stall.



Show and Tell produced the usual goodies.

TURKISH EVENING

MUSIC IN THE GARDEN

 It was a lovely day in Bonnie’s garden on Sunday.

Everything was organised well, right down to the “parking marshals” who guided us in and out of the parking area.

The day was quite hot to begin with but an afternoon breeze came up which cooled things down a bit.

The afternoon tea was lavish and lovely.

and the entertainment fantastic !

The choir was in fine voice.... as usual !

ANOTHER PIONEER QUILT

This photo was taken at the presentation of the Pioneer Women's Quilt for the Aboriginal women of Moggill made by the Branch as part of the ongoing project for recognizing the Pioneer Women of Moggill.

 

 

The quilt is going to be hung in the school library and was presented on assembly last Monday to a great audience. The school was thrilled with the quilt and understand it will come back when we have further shows of the quilts for this project.

ANNUAL MEETING

Pamela's lovely flowers set the tone for an enjoyable day when we look back on the past year's achievements and highlights.

 

 

The members all rolled in.
