APRIL CRAFT DAY

Under the capable ( and kind ) instruction of our new member we worked on putting our quilt-as-you-go quilt together. This was accompanied by much chat and laughter as well as a bit of unpicking and resewing but a very enjoyable time was had by those involved.

The end product will be on show at Show and Tell time next month.

The Knitwits were busy as usual.

Something different this month was the sewing working bee conducted by Shirley and Wendy for the stall in Toowoomba on the 6th June.

There were all sorts of projects ready to go

and quite a few finished objects too

They all look lovely. There will be more sewing for this project next month.

Show and Tell produced the usual collection of fantastic quilts.

This one took our eye and may be an idea for a class next year.

It's a variation on a nine patch - very attractive.

Crochet and knitted rugs were on display also.

and what about this scarf creation?

Unusual, clever,  and not too warm in our climate.

See you next month !

MARCH CRAFT DAY - BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

An eager group of ladies turned up today with several new members joining in the fun.

One group were busy cutting up ground sheets and flannelette wraps for the Birthing Kits that are being put together at the moment.

The Knitwits were busy knitting and crocheting...

and the Material Girls quickly set up and got started on their Quilt-as-you-go  workshop.

A couple of first timers were quickly into the swing of things.

The experienced ones amongst us did a bit of calculating ....

and here are some of our finished efforts.

Now we have to work out how they go together best...

and learn how to join them up.
That will be happening at our next Craft Day on April 12th.

Here are a couple of finishes from Show and Tell.

See you on the 12th April !
